Dr Sarah Crowe

Ophthalmic Surgeon

Dr Sarah Crowe obtained her medical degree from the University of Toronto (Canada), after having completed a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours from Mount Allison University (Canada) and University of St Andrews (Scotland), and a DPhil in Molecular Biology from Oxford University (England).

Dr Kimberley Tan

Ophthalmic Surgeon

Dr Tan is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmology. He completed his Medical degree in Sydney and Ophthalmology training in Melbourne. He undertook advanced subspecialist fellowship training in the United Kingdom and Canada.

Dr Magdalena Guzowski

Ophthalmic Surgeon

Dr Magda Guzowski is a highly experienced consultant eye surgeon, specialising in comprehensive Ophthalmology and cataract surgery. A medical graduate of the University of New South Wales, Magda went onto work at St George and St Vincent’s Hospital before undertaking specialist training in Ophthalmology with Sydney Eye Hospital. She has also obtained a Masters in Public Health from the University of New South Wales.

Dr Nagi Assaad

Ophthalmic Surgeon

Dr Nagi Assaad is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon who practices in General Ophthalmology and Medical Retina. He completed medical school at the University of Sydney, where he received a number of undergraduate prizes and scholarships. During his medical degree he also completed a research degree in visual physiology. While working as a junior doctor, he completed a Master of Biomedical Engineering degree at the University of New South Wales, with a focus on advanced optics, ophthalmic technology and retinal protein structure.

Dr Hughie Tsang is a Paediatric Ophthalmic Surgeon. He studied medicine in Queensland and moved to New South Wales for ophthalmology training. He undertook a Paediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, Canada. He has been appointed to a Staff Specialist position at Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick.

Medical Retina Specialist

Dr John Downie is a Medical Retina Specialist, Senior Vitreoretinal Surgeon and Complex Cataract Surgeon. He studied Medicine at the University of Sydney, graduating with Honours in 1987, and trained as an Ophthalmologist at the Sydney Eye Hospital, where he was the Professorial Senior Registrar in 1995.
