Dr Kimberley Tan

Dr Tan is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmology. He completed his Medical degree in Sydney and Ophthalmology training in Melbourne. He undertook advanced subspecialist fellowship training in the United Kingdom and Canada.

Dr Tan is a Lecturer in Ophthalmology at both the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales. He has been an examiner for the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmologists. He has lectured and published at national and international peer-reviewed forums.

Dr Tan consults in all areas of comprehensive ophthalmology and has subspecialist interests in micro-incision cataract surgery, strabismus (squint), paediatric ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmology. He is Head of the Department of Paediatric Ophthalmology at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick and a Visiting Consultant Ophthalmologist at Royal North Shore Hospital. He runs a Neuro-ophthalmology/Adult Strabismus clinic at Royal North Shore Hospital.

He is a “visionary” for Sight for All, having worked with the charity trying to address reversible blindness through Asia. He has travelled and worked in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos with Sight for All.
